Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using Livspeil.

Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, downloading, or using Livspeil ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Application.

The License

Livspeil is licensed, not sold. We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the Application for your personal, non-commercial use on a device owned or controlled by you, strictly in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

User Ownership & Intellectual Property

  • Your Data: You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights over all text, images, and structures ("Memories") you create using Livspeil. We claim no rights over your life's archive.
  • Our Software: The Application itself (code, design, visual interfaces, "Star Map" visualizations, and the "Livspeil" brand) is the property of Livspeil and is protected by copyright laws.

Payment and Subscriptions

  • Merchant of Record: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
  • Pricing: We reserve the right to change pricing for future users or renewal terms. Existing lifetime licenses will be honored in perpetuity.

Restrictions

You agree not to:

  1. Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application (except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law).
  2. Bypass the license verification system (piracy).
  3. Use the Application to generate content that is illegal in your jurisdiction.

Disclaimer of Warranties

"As Is" Software: Livspeil is provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive to preserve your data indefinitely, software and hardware environments change.

  • We do not guarantee that the Application will function without interruption or errors.
  • Data Loss: You are responsible for backing up your local database file. Livspeil is not liable for data loss due to hardware failure, file corruption, or forgotten passwords/encryption keys.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Livspeil shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Application.
