Privacy Policy
At Livspeil, we believe that your memories, thoughts, and "digital soul" belong to you alone. Our architecture is designed based on the principle of "Local-First Sovereignty."
Data Storage and Encryption
Livspeil is a local-first application.
- Your Content: All memories, images, audio logs, and canvas layouts created within Livspeil are stored locally on your device (specifically within an encrypted SQLite database).
- No Cloud Sync: Livspeil (the Company) does not have servers that store your user content. We do not have the technical capability to access, decrypt, or read your memories.
- Encryption: Your data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption (SQLCipher/Age). You are responsible for safeguarding your device and your encryption keys (if applicable).
Information We Collect
Because we do not host your content, the data we collect is strictly limited to what is necessary to validate your license and improve stability.
A. Account and Payment Data (via Paddle)
We use Paddle as our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a license:
- Paddle collects your payment method, email, and billing country to process the transaction and handle taxes (VAT/GST).
- Livspeil receives only: Your email address, a unique transaction ID, and the validity status of your license. We never see your credit card number.
B. Device Fingerprinting
To prevent license abuse, the Application generates a unique hardware identifier (machine_id) based on your device's components. This hash is irreversible and is used solely to verify that your license key matches your specific computer.
C. Telemetry and Crash Reports
- Crash Reports: If the Application crashes, an anonymized log may be sent to us to help fix the bug. This log contains stack traces but never contains your memory content or text input.
- Usage Analytics: We do not track your behavioral flows inside the canvas. We do not know what you write or how often you write it.
Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services:
- Paddle: For payment processing and order management. Read Paddle's Privacy Policy.
User Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Since we do not store your content, you do not need to ask us to delete your memories - you simply delete the file on your computer. Regarding your purchase data held by Paddle, you have the right to request access, correction, or deletion by contacting support at karlo.tsutskiridze@gmail.com.
Updates to this Policy
We may update this policy as the software evolves. Users will be notified of significant changes via an in-app notification or email.
